In Nepal all school are still closed due to Covid-19. We let our students tell their story.
My friends and I have settled in Damauli, because the government started a lockdown due to the coronavirus situation and we wanted to be extra safe. We have a routine for all and everything, it starts right here: we wake up at 8:00 clock and have some tea and biscuits, but sometimes we wake up a bit late and Prabesh yells at us to come and drink tea. We have our own duties and responsibilities. We need to help Prabesh, our masterchef, to cut vegetables, wash the dishes and clean. We have to do it every three days and we sometimes fight to know who does this and who does that.
In my cleaning group there is Shubham the biggest one, Sunil the smallest one and Ujwal the smartest one. We eat at 9:30 because Shubham, Rana, Prabesh and Rajan have to do online classes. They study until 1:00 pm. Bibek and I cook lunch for everyone, then I play chess with Prabesh. I win most of the time. Then from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Bibek, Sunil and I go to Monsoon’s house to hang out with her while the others play risk or another game. We have our tasty dinner at 8:00 pm (quite late). After 8:30 pm we play games or do what we want until 11:00 pm. Then we have a good night.
