In Nepal all school are still closed due to Covid-19. We let our students tell their story. Prabesh is back
Prabesh Rana Magar (Grade 10)
I am so happy that, after two months, I am back in the village where I have lived for the past 6 years. For me, coming back to the village is the best thing I could’ve imagined. People love to go to the place where they feel good. For the last two months, I was living together with my friends and Manjil-sir in Damauli, the capital of our district. I was fine there, but I felt that I wanted to come back to the village and spend my time there.
I’m finally here. I used to do MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) with Yoon-sir, and now we are learning wrestling with him. I am learning a lot about tackling and self-defence. Besides that, I’m doing other activities like football and work-out with Bas-sir and Guille-sir, and taking care of Maya’s fruit farm etc. During the day I am studying Maths and other subjects. I’m living with Ashish-brother and two small boys, Sunil and Bibek, in the old volunteer house. In the evening we eat dinner together with the Old Kitchen gang, Bas-sir, Clara-miss, Guille-sir and the girls, to chillout, watch movies, and play cards etc. Yesterday we cut a goat and distributed the meat over different houses, life’s good.
