There are currently 75 students, aged seven to seventeen, living at Maya Home. After Maya Home students finish their 10th-grade Secondary Education Examination at their schools in the district's capital of Damauli, they move out. Depending on their family situation, talents, and interests, they either stay on at Maya working as interns while continuing their studies in Damauli, move to Kathmandu to further their education under Maya staff's supervision there, or find alternative solutions guided by their families.

Of the six Maya Home 10th-graders that graduated in April, two are now joining the staff team at Maya and four have moved to their home district of Udayapur to continue their schooling. Of the twelve Maya Home students that graduated grade 10 the year before, Maya's 1st batch, nine stayed on at Maya to work and study and three moved to Kathmandu to further their education.

As older students leave, space is created for others, and there will always be a demand for good education. We admit new students based on their family situation and eagerness to learn, and our capacity and resources.
