Lustrum of the Amsterdams Lyceum

We have been chosen as the anniversary project of the Amsterdam Lyceum. To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the school, her students will do their very best in the second week of January 2022 to raise money for Maya Universe Academy Nepal!

Brainstorm session

Our brainstorming session in 2019 was a great success. As a small Dutch sister organization of Maya Universe Academy Nepal, we are always looking for support in setting up projects for Maya Universe Academy Nepal.

‘Rejina’ the Documentary

In 2019, two students from the Utrecht School of the Arts in the Netherlands came to visit Maya for two months to capture Rejina's story in a documentary.

Exchange Program with Het Amsterdams Lyceum

Of the various relationships that Maya has built with foreign schools, the one with Het Amsterdams Lyceum is the strongest. The Amsterdam-based school visited Maya in Nepal twice.

The Library

The library helps the children of Maya by quenching their thirst for knowledge of the world and strengthening their language skills.

Dormitory for girls

Cycling for a new dormitory. A home for children for the children who could otherwise not attend school.

The Jeep

After the schoolbus, this vehicle has also contributed to Maya’s operations.

Maya Solar Power

In 2016 we equipped our school in Tanahun with solar panels. At the time, the panels were necessary to provide the school with electricity during the day and during power cuts.

Earthquake resistant school building

With the tremendous growth that we have experienced from the start of Maya in 2011, and the devastating earthquake of 2015, it is time for a large and new earthquake-resistant school building.

The Science Lab

Maya is developing into a high school. A science lab is essential for secondary education. Students learn to apply theory.

With the schoolbus we can reach nearby villages and thus make the education of Maya accessible to considerably more students.
